A lot of fashion lookbooks tend to look the same. When we were making ours, we wanted something that would stand out, but that would also appeal to our digitally-savvy, international audience. So, we took advantage of a well-known function of GoogleMaps, StreetView, and created the World’s First Street Wear StreetView LookBook (patent pending). We placed clothing items on models throughout our office space then let the photographers from Google do their thing, providing an experimental yet accessible use of augmented reality. We used Tumblr and social to drive everything back to our e-commerce site, so people could buy the clothes they had just StreetViewed. It cost nearly nothing, received global coverage and was simply enjoyable to mess around with. You can check out the lookbook here, and you can also feel free to drop by our office anytime to see the goods IRL.
