OneMethod’s 10th birthday was more than a massive party, it was a branded experience designed to promote our company. The full story is below, but in short, it involved three primary elements:

• The original OneDecade mixtape (download / physical copy)
• A behind the scenes making of the mixtape video (below) which also had a teaser
• A modest blowout of a party (photos of said blowout)

It all began with an original mixtape that we offered as a free download and also as designed physical copies. And this wasn’t some iTunes shuffle mix. Instead, we got two Toronto legends who had never worked together on a tape before to mix together 90 minutes of the songs that inspired our company over the years. To support the mix (and the party) we created a behind the scenes look at the making of the mixtape.

We then used our channels to invite everyone we knew to a big party at SPiN nightclub. The evening featured live music by DJX and Mastermind in addition to some special tacos courtesy of our other self promotional beast, La Carnita. We hit capacity, early, and the place was filled with old and new friends and clients and even a famous Toronto musician (let’s just say he used to be on Degrassi and it wasn’t Joey Jeremiah).

The result was tons of fun, tons of new business, and tons of inspiration for our next 10 year blow out, which we hope to see you at.
