Leading The Charge
OneMethod does not have a hierarchical structure per se (hierarchical: a word I can spell but not pronounce) . However, we do have a few individuals who due to their experience, talent and tenure, have proven invaluable to our work, our clients and our overall success.
AMIN TODAI // PRESIDENT & CCO
Amin is President & Chief Creative Officer of the award-winning digital + design agency OneMethod. Since founding the agency in 2002, Amin and OneMethod have continually redefined what a full service agency truly means.
This has been achieved by pushing the boundaries of traditional and non-traditional marketing and design for such brands as Nokia, MSN, Rogers, Skype, Disney and Wrigley to name a few. Having a digital DNA and a sometimes unnatural passion for design has allowed Amin to shape a distinct boutique agency that can’t stop innovating – through the business, the people, and most importantly, the work.
Aside from OneMethod, Amin was also one of the founding partners of Picture Perfect Motoring (alongside former Toronto Raptor, Morris Peterson) where he was the lead designer for Canada’s first and only premium automotive customization shop for high-end luxury and super cars. Recently, Amin has embarked on a couple of restaurant projects: first, launching the critically acclaimed Lucien Restaurant in the core of downtown Toronto – which garnered the title of Best New Restaurant of 2008 by Toronto Life Magazine; and more recently, the southern inspired BBQ eatery, Lou Dawg’s on the city’s King West strip.
Along the way to the here and now, Amin has been greatly influenced by the experiences early in his career when he held a strategist position at the online business incubator EquityEngine.com as well as marketing positions at Rogers and Siemens. And while it may seem that Amin lives to work, he is also an avid photographer and part-time DJ – available for parties and Bar Mitzvahs.
STEVE MILLER // VP, CREATIVE DIRECTOR
When Steve’s band The Rustic Gomers failed to become the overnight sensation he expected, he decided to channel his creative energy into something a little less unpredictable – Advertising!
After earning his Bachelor degree in Commerce, Steve spent some time as a ‘suit’ at Identica Branding & Design in Vancouver, BC (formerly Grapheme/Koo). As an Account Exec, Steve got his feet wet in the marketing world working on branding and package designs for Hershey’s, McDonald’s and Canadian Tire, to name a few. But when the opportunity to join the creative team at BBDO Toronto presented itself, Steve jumped at the chance.
At BBDO, Steve worked in the ‘traditional’ advertising space writing ads for Pepsi/FritoLay, RBC Royal Bank, Daimler Chrysler, Bayer, Effem Foods and Campbell’s. However, Steve wanted to pursue other creative outlets and the call of the smaller agency, and the creative diversity it promised, was too much for Steve to ignore.
Since joining OneMethod as Creative Director in 2005, Steve’s ‘big picture’ perspective has proven instrumental in guiding the creative from strategy to concept to execution, across all disciplines (earning more than 85 international awards in the process). In addition to lecturing at design and advertising colleges, Steve has judged several international award shows and has even been able to realize some of his original rock star dreams; he’s the high score holder in the office Rock Band.
IAN GRAHAM // VP, BRAND DEVELOPMENT
With a BComm in Marketing and formal training in two of the fine arts, Ian is truly a right and left brain thinker.
Before joining OneMethod, Ian spent almost a decade in Communications & Design building brands and developing tools for a variety of intentionally recognized organizations. His passion for anything creative and motivation to succeed comes from a belief that best results come from chasing what you love.
This belief led him to join nationally registered charity called Lights, Camera, Imagine of Canada. He is an active board member and has become an integral part of its development. Over the years, Ian has donated his time and resources as a strategic arm to other non-for profit organizations.
At OneMethod, Ian brings a over a decade of experience of building brands and managing client relationships. From identifying opportunities through to the strategy and planning phase of projects, Ian’s team-oriented approach ensures all options are considered before execution – all without breaking a sweat.
