Cabs are magical creations. You give someone money, and they drive your somewhere. It’s brilliant… Except for the ordering part. So when Beck was looking for a way to revolutionize how Torontonians order cabs, we – in collaboration with the super gifted GearShift crew – were beyond excited to oblige, both as a creative shops and as cab orderers (new word alert). The original ask was to create an alternative to the traditional calling to order option. The result however, was a smartphone app that makes all other alternatives seem somewhat archaic.
