2009 In Review

2009 was a big year for OneMethod. It included a bunch of firsts (mobile apps, generative art, retail design, and even a documentary) and definitely set up a huge 2010. Here are some of our milestones from the year:

  • Developed our 1st iPhone App(Gaydar, but Apple wasn’t too pleased, so we spun off some more tame off-shoots)

  • Produced (wrote, directed, filmed, edited, designed, marketed) our 1st film and DVD (with our buddy Chris Bosh of the Toronto Raptors)

  • Became the first to market with FlashPress (the Flash-based step child of WordPress)

  • Launched our New OneMethod Site (using FlashPress)

  • Started a movement towards socially generated art with our launch of the GenArt Project

  • Helped our friends at Nokia with the Global Launch of Ovi

  • Designed and branded the new Southern Sandwiches eatery, Lou Dawg’s

  • Added Benjamin Moore to our roster of client

  • Became new BFF’s with the folks at Amoeba Corp & John St.

  • Launched the nation-wide billboard campaign for Sympatico’s Push.ca portal

  • Designed some cool brand identities for Phoenix Risk Management, Titan Capital Ventures, and Fortress Real Capital

  • Redefined how Nokia educates it’s marketing team on consumer insights, with the Nokia Shopper Launch

  • Worked with our friends at Target Vacations to successfully redesign their online presence

  • Designed the OneMethod Throwback Notebook which will soon be available at a design store near you

  • Produced tons of new video work for our clients (a continually growing part of our business)

  • Won a ton of new awards (17 to be exact)

  • Learned all sorts of new stuff (when u stop learning, you should quit)

  • Continued to build stronger relationships with our tight-knit group of clients

Where’s the Beach? Contest

TargetVacations.ca is a small fish in a big sea of online travel companies. They don’t have the marketing dollars for national broadcast or print campaigns. However, they do have a distinct brand personality and an early-adopting President – the perfect combination for a social media campaign.

OneMethod’s 2010 Demo Reel

Well, we finally got our 2009/2010 demo reel in order (figuratively and literally). It’s a collection of interactive work, motion graphics, some 3D goodness, print design, advertising and a little branding too.
